Two VRSS students have successfully defended their Master's theses.

Arpan Chakraborty and Neelakshi Majumdar both worked on new ways of improving General Aviation Safety.
Arpan Chakraborty researched how we can use low-cost flight data recording to help improve GA safety. He is embarking on a career in light aircraft design and development.
 
Neelakshi Majumdar built on VRSS Alum Dr. Arjun Rao (now a Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas A&M) to create a state-based modeling approach for fixed-wing General Aviation. Neelakshi will be staying with VRSS, and begin her doctoral work in January 2019.
