Ph.D. candidate Jiawei Xue received the Best Poster Award for his presentation at the First Research Summit of Urban Science in Beijing on August 5-6, 2023. The title of his poster is, "Predicting Individual Irregular Mobility via Web Search-Driven Bipartite Graph Neural Networks."

Jiawei Xue is a Ph.D. candidate at the UMNI lab, Lyles School of Civil Engineering, led by Prof. Satish V. Ukkusuri. His researches revolve around transportation engineering, urban science, and machine learning. Collaborative ventures with colleagues have led to publications in journals like Nature Machine Intelligence, Sustainable Cities and Society, and Transportation Research Part D/E. Additionally, their research findings have been showcased at conferences, including ISTTT (2022), ACM SIGKDD (2022), IEEE ITSC (2019-2021), TRB (2020-2023), and DTA (2021). The recent study, Predicting Individual Irregular Mobility via Web Search-Driven Bipartite Graph Neural Networks, co-authored by Jiawei Xue, Dr. Takahiro Yabe, Dr. Kota Tsubouchi, Prof. Jianzhu Ma, and Prof. Satish V. Ukkusuri, was invited to present at the First Research Summit of Urban Science in Beijing on August 5-6, 2023.
