Awards don’t just come to those that wait. They come to people that get nominated, are prepared, and keep an eye out for helping others and helping themselves. This interactive workshop will introduce faculty to the College’s External Recognitions Opportunities Database, a centralized, searchable resource designed to streamline the process of identifying prestigious awards, fellowships, and honors. Attendees will learn how to effectively navigate the database to uncover opportunities that align with their scholarly achievements, career stage, and discipline. The session will include a live demonstration of key features, tips for customizing searches, and guidance on how to use the database to proactively plan for recognition milestones. While the broader landscape of external recognitions will be briefly discussed, the primary focus of this workshop is equipping faculty with a powerful tool to take ownership of their professional visibility and recognition strategy.
