EASI RIDER Project

Efficient Accessible and Safe Interaction in a Real Integrated Design Environment for Riders with disabilities

Would you like to be involved with Purdue University’s EASI RIDER Project?

There are currently two different options included in our Purdue IRB approved clinical trial. Interested participants will need to provide researchers with general information to determine eligibility. Eligible persons are strongly encouraged to partake in both the online survey and in person interactive demonstrations with focus group session.

Online Survey

The Qualtrics survey asks questions about the perceptions, concerns, needs, preferences, and expectations of self-driving vehicles for people with disabilities. The whole survey should take roughly 15 minutes to complete.

If you would like to participate please navigate to our Qualtircs survey.

In person interactive demonstration with focus group session at BraunAbility in Carmel, IN

A two-hour session will take place at BraunAbility's Headquarters 645 W Carmel Dr, Carmel, IN 46032. The session will be split up with a one-hour interactive demonstration and tour of the EASI RIDER autonomous vehicle. Participants will be asked to navigate in and out of the vehicle, while interacting with the accessible features incorporated into the vehicle. Following the demonstration will be a one-hour question-and-answer session asking about the entire experience.

Those who participate in the session will be compensated $250 honorarium.

Transportation to and from the session is not provided; participants will be required to coordinate and pay for travel plans on their own.

If you have any questions or concerns reach out to the EASI RIDER Team at bsd@purdue.edu.
