Purdue University's Charles D. Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate program is ranked No. 14 in the nation in U.S. News & World Report's 2027 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs rankings. The program keeps the No. 14 spot it held last year.

Three Charles D. Davidson School of Chemical Engineering alumni have been selected as the recipients of the 2026 Purdue Engineering 38 by 38 Awards.

Purdue's Davidson School of Chemical Engineering honored William "Bill" Bussing and Mark Etzel with its 2026 Outstanding Chemical Engineer Award, recognizing decades of leadership in industry and academia.

David E. Bernal Neira, the Mitchel Papanicolas Family/Del Ray Glass Company Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, has been selected as the winner of the 2026 Faculty Graduate Teaching Award for CHE 59700, Data Science in Chemical Engineering.

David S. Corti has been named the next Jay and Cynthia Ihlenfeld Head of the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, effective Aug. 17, 2026.
