Event Description
Can Li from Purdue's Davidson School of Chemical Engineering will present as part of the seminar series.
Li, the Charles and Nancy Davidson Rising Star Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering, develops optimization and machine learning methods — including physics-informed deep learning and large language model-powered tools — for applications in energy, chemical and biological systems. He earned his bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University and his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed postdoctoral research at Polytechnique Montréal before joining Purdue in 2022.
He received the Air Liquide Scientific Prize for a novel data-sharing framework for industrial decarbonization.
