Mentorship Program

The mentorship program is used to benefit the sophomore class and provide them with resources for various future career paths. Topics of discussion include Research, Medical and Graduate School, and careers in Industry. Additionally, the Mentorship Program provides undergraduates with a space to network amongst themselves.

How to Join:

Contact Saahil Varma (varma20@purdue.edu) to become a Mentor or Mentee.

Spring 2024:

There are two types of mentorship programs: 1:1 mentorship and group mentorship. The time commitment for each program will be about 2 hours per month. For more details, see below.

1:1 Mentorship Overview:

Sophomore participants will have the opportunity to be paired with an upperclassman for personalized mentorship.

1:1 Mentorship Time Commitment:

  • Attend monthly large-group meetings
  • Meet once a month 1:1 as a mentee/mentor pair
  • Attend monthly socials (optional)

Group Mentorship Overview:

Sophomore participants will have the opportunity to be placed in a mentoring group led by 2-3 upperclassmen to develop a stronger understanding of class material and potential career paths.

Group Mentorship Time Commitment:

  • Attend monthly large-group meetings
  • Meet once a month as a group/pair
  • Attend monthly socials (optional)
