World Conference on Carbon 2014



The Carbon series of conferences is known as one of the most important scientific events in the field of carbon materials. This conference typically attracts almost 700 researchers and students from all over the world. The conference was founded by Prof. S. Mrozowski at the University of Buffalo, New York in 1953.

The 14th World Conference on Carbon (June 29 - July 4) was held at the International Convention Center on Jeju island, South Korea by the Korean Carbon Society. The theme of this conference was "Carbon Materials for Ubiquitous and Sustainable Life". Prof. Pol delivered a talk, "Emerging Carbon Architectures for Energy Storage Devices," and also chaired the session "Carbons for Sustainable Energy Conversion and Storage."
