William Troha

Before retiring, Troha had a long career in the aerospace industry. At Honeywell Aerospace Advanced Technology (1997-2010), he led three advanced turbojet engine programs under $110 million of Department of Defense contracts, including a joint GE-Honeywell next generation helicopter engine initiative. At Honeywell, he earned four technical achievement awards.
At NASA Glenn Research Center (1995-97), Troha directed $50 million a year high speed civil transport programs, managing research teams and organizing national technology-transfer conferences.
For 25 years prior, he was at the United States Air Force Research Laboratory, guiding major turbine technology programs and engine-failure investigations, advancing durability, cooling and vibration diagnostics.
Troha has advised on SpaceX's rocket turbopump durability.
