Erin Murphy - Office of Professional Practice - Purdue University

As process excellence leader at Solventum/3M, Murphy leads improvement in digital design and production workflows for dental solutions.

From 1994-2023, Murphy held progressive roles in supply chain, engineering and strategy at 3M. She enabled $4 million a year cost savings and recaptured $10 million in sales through strategic investment planning. She designed a 10-year supply chain plan supporting $350 million portfolio growth and sustainability goals. Murphy created global technology engagements for 10,000-plus visitors to strengthen external partnerships and inspire future talent.

She was the first female recipient of the 3M Outstanding Designer Award in 2003. 

Murphy was 3M's Purdue University relations team leader from 2008-23, and she built and led the team recruiting top Purdue talent for 3M and created processes adopted as corporate standards.
