GEARE cohort - Office of Professional Practice - Purdue University

For the first time in Professional Practice Hall of Fame history, the Office of Professional Practice honored six members from the inaugural GEARE cohort, who studied at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2003.

The group of honorees included David Bowes, Sam Frank, Kevin Hess, Michael Radovanovic, Katie Boor Ramos and Anna Kuhn Wild. Eckhard Groll (pictured above far left) was an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at the time.

Since 2003, the GEARE program has enabled over 1,000 Purdue University students to gain international study and work experience. Now recognized as Purdue’s premier international work experience program, GEARE offers students a unique opportunity to integrate language study, cultural training, study abroad, domestic and international work/research experiences, and global design team projects within the four-year engineering curriculum.
