Larry Ogborn

Professor Ogborn worked with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (formerly Electrical Engineering) Cooperative Education Program from January 1985-May 1986 before becoming the ECE co-op coordinator in September 1987, when he also became the ECE undergraduate coordinator. He served in both those capacities until May 1997. He also served as the director of the ECE Laboratory Programs (1984-2002) and he was the director of the Purdue University Electric and Hybrid Systems Development Laboratory from 1978 to 1984.

Co-op impact

Ogborn played a major role in the development of laboratory courses in ECE that helped to prepare ECE cooperative education students for industrial work experiences. His dedication to student learning, both experiential and curricular, earned him The Beta Chapter of HKN (Eta Kappa Nu) Outstanding Teacher Award on three separate occasions (1970, 1972, 1980).
