Keith Hawks - Office of Professional Practice - Purdue University

While Hawks was a graduate and doctoral student, he worked as a research and teaching assistant and as a graduate instructor. Once he received his PhD, he became assistant professor at Purdue University. In 1975, he took on the role as associate professor until 2010. Starting in 1972, Hawks worked for the Purdue Physical Plant as an administrative engineering consultant until 2011. In 1985, he also served as a Purdue representative and program committee member to American Power Conference in 1987 until 2000. Soon after, he became the assistant head for the School of Mechanical Engineering in 1988 until his retirement. Hawks received the title of professor emeritus in 2011.

Co-op coordinator

In May 1982, Hawks became co-op coordinator for the School of Mechanical Engineering and assumed that role until May 1999.
