Rick Bried - Office of Professional Practice - Purdue University

After graduating from Purdue University, Bried returned to his co-op company, Shell Oil Company, in Indianapolis and spent six-plus years in engineering, building and operating Midwest pipeline. In 1975, he transferred to New Orleans and spent more than three years in a similar capacity covering offshore Louisiana, East Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky. In 1978, Bried moved to Houston and spent 10 years on electrical design and construction of pipeline projects throughout the United States. He spent the next 15 years supporting the head office pipeline engineering project group and field operating engineers as an electrical technical specialist. After more than 30 years of service, Bried retired from Shell Pipeline Co. LP in 2003. After his retirement, he then spent six months working for Sakhalin Energy Investment Co. in Russia.
