Current openings for Spring and Fall 2021:

General recruitment information:

 

We frequently recruit highly motivated graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with strong interest and/or research experience in one or more of the following areas:

(1) Nanoscale thermal radiation, photonics, heat conduction, photovoltaics, and energy conversion; 

(2) Multiscale simulations of materials, including first principles calculations, molecular dynamics simulations, Monte-Carlo simulations, Boltzmann transport theory, etc; 

(3) Machine learning, optimization, and high throughput design;

(4) Additive manufacturing and synthesis of nanomaterials and devices.

(5) Characterization of nanomaterials, such as SEM, TEM, XRD, Raman, absorption spectra, emission spectra, etc.

Undergraduate student positions:

 

(1) ME 498: Undergraduate students are welcome to take ME 497 with our lab to gain research experience. Detailed information of current projects in our lab can be found at: http://engineering.purdue.edu/nanoenergy/.

(2) SURF: We have at least two SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship) positions available each summer, and priorities will be given to undergraduate students who have taken ME 497 with our lab.
