Welcome!
Purdue University's College of Engineering now is home for two MRI systems. The Engineering MRI Facility houses a GE Discovery MR750 3T full-body system tailored especially for, but not limited to, human subject scanning. This includes a variety of scanning applications, such as functional MRI, diffusion-weighted MRI, and spectroscopy. Meanwhile, the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering supports the Small Animal MRI Facility, which has a Bruker 7T Biospec small animal MRI system. This system is designed for small animals such as rodents, but it also is suitable for smaller samples and materials. The scanning applications are the same as with the full body system. Together, these two Facilities, along with the Life Science MRI Facility, form the Purdue MRI Facilities and, also together, are an IndianaCTSI Core Facility.
