Diversity Equity and Inclusion Workshop

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Workshop

September 1, 2022

9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Convergence Center, 101 Foundry Dr., West Lafayette 47906

Viewing 4 short videos (~5 min each) is expected in advance, to be provided a week ahead.

The objectives of the workshop are to:

*Provide an overview of key diversity concepts relating to gender, race/ethnicity,

and other social identities

*Share best practices that support inclusive environments in research and

teaching

*Guide faculty and staff in developing their own strategies to contribute to a

positive diverse and inclusive environment

Faculty participating in this workshop will also fulfill their commitment to participate in diversity education.

The success and effectiveness of the workshop requires attendance during the entire length of the workshop. Thus, if you feel that you need to take time off during the meeting times, we would ask you to sign up for a future event when you can attend the entire time.

We realize, as do the Heads, that your participation requires a significant time commitment in an already full schedule, but we are also confident that you will find the experience to be very rewarding.
