National Society of Black Engineers
National Society of Black Engineers aims to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
Preferred abbreviation: NSBE
Description: NSBE was founded in 1975 with the goal of increasing the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. To further this goal, we encourage the personal growth of all of our members academically, professionally and socially with various events such as study tables, Grand Prix, general body meetings and national conferences. Ultimately, we foster a growing community of Black STEM students and professionals. Don't be discouraged by the name, NSBE is not only for engineers. We encourage all undergraduate or graduate to join us in building a stronger community.
