Description: The Civil Engineering Student Advisory Council (CESAC), founded in 1998, enhances interaction between civil engineering students and the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering administration. CESAC is known for its annual career fair, campus events and community service, involving students in all phases of their education. Our members are dedicated leaders, fostering partnerships between students, faculty, alumni and industry to uphold Purdue’s excellence in engineering.

Requirements for joining: We look for applicants in their first, sophomore or junior years at Purdue University pursuing an undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction engineering and environmental and ecological engineering. Applicants should demonstrate a strong passion for engineering, a committed work ethic, a desire to work on a collaborative team and an eagerness to grow personally as a student and professionally as a leader. Applicants should also be well-versed in public speaking, leadership and organizational qualities.
