What do you hope to do after graduation?

A

I aspire to become a faculty member so that I can continue advancing my research and nurturing the next generation of civil engineers through my passion for teaching, mentorship, and academic service.

What was the most valuable advice you received before or during graduate school?

A

One of the most valuable pieces of advice I remember is, "your only limits are the ones you set for yourself." This taught me to believe in my ideas, stay resilient, and understand that big goals are achieved through small, consistent steps.

A

I chose Purdue not only for its prestige but also for the professional environment within my research group. I spent four months there before deciding to join, and during that time, I felt highly supported.

A

The most remarkable thing I have encountered at Purdue is the collaborative environment that fosters innovation and growth. Working closely with experts from diverse backgrounds and having access to top research facilities has been truly inspiring and enriching for my academic journey.

A

For fun at Purdue or nearby, I enjoy spending time with colleagues, playing sports, listening to and playing music, and visiting Chicago to soak in the city's vibe.

Favorite quote and why?

A

"todo lo que va, vuelve", or "everything that goes around, comes around". This quote reminds me of the importance of our actions and attitudes, both personally and professionally, emphasizing that what we put out into the world eventually comes back to us.

Favorite food and why?

A

I love all kinds of food, so it isn't easy to choose just one. However, if I had to choose one, I would go for sushi because it is incredibly versatile and allows endless combinations of flavors and ingredients. I love making it whenever I can, especially to share with friends and family.
