I am interested in studying how skin remodels itself when is subjected to external mechanical loading. This will help understand how external stretching can be applied to promote tissue growth and regeneration.

A

Top 1 skill in graduate school is time management.

Why did you choose Purdue Engineering for your graduate studies?

A

I had the chance to come as an undergrad from Colombia thanks to Purdue extension programs, and I decided then to apply and come back for grad school.

What is the coolest thing you have encountered at Purdue?

A

Sharing my research and other interests with other people.

What do you do for fun at Purdue or nearby?

A

Salsa/tango dancing, playing Latin music.

If you could talk with any person, living or dead, who would it be and why?

A

My best friend. We always have something to talk about and release stress or anxiety. Talking to them makes me happy.

What's something unique about you, or something most people don't know?

A

Not unique, but most people that know me do not know that I sing.

Favorite quote and why?

A

"Learn the rules as a pro so you can break them as an artist" by Picasso. I like it because discipline will make you learn, but then you can apply your own touch to everything you do.

A

Caribbean cuisine in general. I am from the Caribbean region of Colombia.

Colombia. To meet my family and friends at the beach.
