My research dives into the vaginal microbiome to uncover microbes and metabolites that act like chemotherapy in terms of gene expression and boost anti-tumor immune responses. This could lead to exciting new approaches in cancer treatment and immune system modulation, highlighting the potential of using natural microbiota in medical innovations.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

A

I hope to continue in clinical research, develop sustainable therapies for female gynecological cancers specifically and also give back to society through educating the younger generation.

What was the most valuable advice you received before or during graduate school?

A

"keep showing up, some days it would 20 steps, some days it would be half a step but keep showing up".

A

I believed greatly I would get the best support and platform that would greatly help my career and who I am as a person generally.
