IGNITE Is Here: A New Graduate Community for Engineering Students in Indianapolis
A new spark is lighting up Purdue University in Indianapolis! IGNITE — the Indianapolis Graduate Network for Innovation, Training, and Engineering — officially launched in Fall 2025 as a student-led organization created by engineering graduate students, for engineering graduate students. The goal is to bring people together across programs, IGNITE focuses on building community, sharing opportunities, and helping graduate students feel connected, supported, and empowered at Purdue University Indianapolis.
IGNITE’s mission is simple: to help engineering graduate students learn, lead, and thrive. The organization offers social, academic, professional, and wellness-focused programming while promoting mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong connections with industry and alumni. From professional development workshops and career conversations to social events and peer support, IGNITE is here to create meaningful engagement across programs and disciplines.

Founded by a group of passionate graduate students who saw the need for a stronger, more connected graduate engineering community in Indianapolis. The organization is open to all engineering graduate students who want to grow their network, explore leadership opportunities, and be part of something new and exciting.
