Discussions are loosely based onthe curriculum developed by the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) andinclude the following topics ( but not limited to this... we will go where thediscussion takes us) this semester: maintaining effective communication withyour mentor, aligning expectations in your mentoring relationship, and how todevelop a mentoring team. The discussions are intended to help graduate studentsstrengthen their mentoring relationships with their major professors and othermentors in their academic careers.
