Dr. Bert Chapman is Professor of Library Science and Government Information and Political Science Librarian at Purdue University. He received his B.A. in history and political science at Taylor University, an M.A. in history at the University of Toledo, and an M.S.L.S at the University of Kentucky. He began his career as a librarian at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX from 1989-1994 and has been at Purdue since 1995. Research and teaching interests include government information and scholarly resources dealing with national security, international relations, and various historical aspects of these subjects covering the U.S. and other countries. This research output includes six books and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. He has just finished co-editing a special issue of the journal Security and Defence Quarterly produced by Poland’s War Studies University.
