Ambassador Applications due January 28!  Call Outs on Tuesday, January 16 and Wednesday January 17, both at 6pm in Lambertus Hall (LMBS 5237).

The COE Ambassadors<https://engineering.purdue.edu/Engr/Academics/Undergraduate/Ambassadors> are a dynamic, charismatic, and knowledgeable group of engineering students representing all majors as the face of the College of Engineering. Ambassadors have the opportunity to work with College of Engineering leaders, network with Purdue Engineering Alumni, interact with Industry professionals, and develop leadership skills. Opportunities include:

  *   Attend Purdue Football games in the Engineering Suite

  *   Network and represent the College at alumni and industry dinners
  *   Connect with College of Engineering Advisory Boards and College leadership
  *   Professional and Leadership Development
  *   And more!

Requirements: Ambassadors are expected to attend and participate in ENGR 40600 on Tuesdays 6:00-6:50pm and participate in events each semester. Must be currently enrolled in the College of Engineering, have a cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher, have completed First-Year Engineering by Fall 2024, and at least 2 semesters remaining before graduation.

New Ambassadors will participate in COE Ambassador training in the latter half of Spring 2024, in preparation for Fall 2024 Ambassador Events.

ENGR 40400 Leadership Course

If you're interested in developing your leadership skills while earning Purdue credit then check out this new 1 credit seminar! You can still register for this semester, and it will cover the fundamentals of leadership through discussion based lessons, case studies, and several industry speakers. If you're currently in a leadership position or looking to get into one, this is a great way to get a head start on building your skills. It will be held every Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 pm in HAMP 2108, and you can add it to your schedule using the CRN 24154 or ENGR 40400.

Important Information for Scholarships

Are you looking for a scholarship or you currently receive a scholarship from the College of Engineering? Then you'll want to know that the U.S. Department of Education has revamped the FAFSA form making it less complicated to complete. Submitting the form online is the quickest way to get your information to Purdue.

Many of the scholarships offered by the College of Engineering are considered "need based" which means that you must report your family income or your personal income if emancipated through the FAFSA form and make sure it's on file at Purdue to be considered. Even if you don't think that you or your family meet the threshold for need based assistance, it is good practice to complete a FAFSA if you're seeking a scholarship.

The College of Engineering considers all students who are enrolled in the College for scholarships without the need for an application. Individual schools may also have scholarships to offer to specific majors. You will need to check your school's website for more information or ask your Academic Advisor if there are scholarships available! Purdue Student Engineering Foundation (PSEF) Applications Open

The Purdue Student Engineering Foundation (PSEF) is now accepting applications for the Spring 2024 cycle from freshmen and sophomore engineering students. PSEF is one of Purdue's largest engineering organizations and is dedicated to promoting engineering amongst youth, prospective students, Purdue alumni, and the community. We recruit prospective students through engineering information sessions, academic panels, and most importantly, engineering facilities tours. Spain - Experience Abroad Opportunity - Maymester 2024

Learn how Spanish entrepreneur agri-food companies operate and how the properties and processing of food influence product performance. Participants will enjoy Mediterranean Lifestyle as locals do, will see where they work, shop, eat, relax and have fun. Experience the most interesting places in Valencia. For the May semester in the summer 2023, a three-unit course will be offered to familiarize students with how entrepreneur agri-food companies operate in Spain and to provide how product performance is pursued through technical concepts of materials and relevant processes. Visits to various industries involve the use of unit operations and environmental conditions involved during the handling of food materials towards an end-product.
