Streaming Video Help

Course delivery is designed with your busy schedule in mind. We provide the flexibility you need to study, at the times most convenient for you. You do not have to be logged in to view your course material at a specific time of day. Some courses have a live audio and video feed options, but will always offer the asynchronous recording link.

Viewing Formats

Course sessions will be available to you in a downloadable MPEG-4 format. Lectures are capture in high definition (HD). You will have a choice of viewing a low or high resolution file. The MPEG-4 format can be downloaded to your computer and we recommend using the VLC Player to view the lectures.

Timing of Recordings

Each session will be available within two hours after the live class is recorded at Purdue. Sessions will be accessible for the duration of the semester so you can use them for review purposes. You will be required to login through the Current Students portal to view the lectures.

Troubleshooting

Before your first semester, you should successfully view a demo course and verify your computer's compatibility with our lecture formats. We offer both streaming and download demos. If you are having difficulty viewing a lecture and suspect a problem, please try a different site, computer, and/or media player to rule out a configuration issue with your computer, firewall, or local network connection.
