CCE59700/ME 59700 - Building Energy and Performance Modeling
This course will cover all aspects of building performance an integrated way, towards design of high-performance buildings that are energy-efficient, comfortable, and healthy. It will include a suite of integrated building performance analysis tools and methods about whole building energy modeling, climate-based building analysis, solar and daylighting design, thermal systems performance, HVAC loads and thermal comfort; airflow and natural ventilation, building controls, code/standard compliance as well as interoperability and information exchange between tools. A software platform (IESVE) will be used to link all aspects of building analysis together using a graphical interface.
