The new year ushers in an exciting time for Purdue FSAE. The most important update? We’ve got a chassis! The chassis is welded off its jigs and very close to being normalized and powder coated. A big thank you to everyone who stayed over Christmas break to work on the car!
Another thing that we got done over break were the sidepod molds, which were cut and prepared and are almost ready for layup. The wing endplates are already done, and hopefully most of the other carbon fiber work will be completed soon.
Meanwhile, suspension, wheels, and brakes are all being worked on as well. The whole team is quite busy as we get ready to launch the car on March 1st. With competition only 115 days away, we can’t wait!
