Saleh Behbahani named "Star of the Youth" for his paper on "Advancing Pipeline Condition Assessment (PCA)"

CEM and professor Tom Iseley are excited to share that Saleh Behbahani has won the “Star of the Youth” award for young workers aged 40 and below who are working in No-Dig industries. Saleh represented Purdue CEM and came in at No. 1 in a paper presentation competition that named him “Star of the Youth” at the China Society of Trenchless Technology – ITTC 2021 conference. This is a highly coveted award for professionals under 40. The competition is strong and decided by a team of highly respected judges. Saleh is very deserving of this award. He has worked with Professor Tom Iseley for seven years now. He is a hardworking and dedicated professional. That’s how you tackle the next giant leap. Most recently, he also coordinated the CEM 1-Day workshop in Dubai which brought together International Subject Matter Experts which included 13 presentations on Developing Underground Space & Underground Infrastructure Asset Management. "Star of the Youth" is an unofficial and public welfare award led by the jury which is jointly co-organized by China Society of Trenchless Technology (CSTT), Japan Society for Trenchless Technology (JSTT), Malaysia Association for Trenchless Technologies (MSTT), and Singapore Society for Trenchless Technology (SgSTT), four-country trenchless societies, and is affiliated with Kyushu University, Central South University, Zhengzhou University, University of Petroleum and Technology of Malaysia, Monash University and other related universities and benchmarking companies recognized by the four-country trenchless societies. “Star of the Youth” focuses on the basic disciplines, cutting-edge technologies and scientific management involved in No-Dig, directly rewarding No-Dig practitioners in youth, facing the future and rewarding potential. Young workers aged 40 and below who are working in the No-Dig industry can apply for this award. Every April, the on-site presentation is held at the International Trenchless Technology Conference (ITTC). At the same time, in the “Gala Dinner”, it will announce the winner’s names, companies, fields and reasons for the winners, and award certificates and prizes.
