Do I need to register to attend?
Yes, you must register to attend the Symposium. Registration includes both the Workshop and the Symposium meals, drinks and other perks throughout both events. Additional registration information and the registration link can be found on the Grad WiE Network website. The deadline for presenters to register for the Symposium is located on the Grad WiE Network website and in the abstract acceptance email sent to you.
Can I register the day of?
No. You must be registered by the deadline. There will be no registration available the day of the event.
How do I participate as a first-year graduate student?
You can still take advantage of the Symposium’s networking and professional development activities.
Do I have to stay for the whole day of the Symposium?
No, but it is recommended that you stay for the entire event to get the benefit of the Symposium.
What is the schedule for the day?
The schedule for the day can be found on the Grad WiE Network website and the program booklet you receive the day of.
What food will be provided?
Breakfast, lunch and an end-of-Symposium dessert reception will be provided. Vegetarian options will be available.
Can I see who is presenting?
Yes, the presenters and the title of their talk will be available online. The program booklet and abstract booklet will be uploaded to the Grad WiE Network website. You will receive a physical copy of the program booklet the day of the Symposium.
Is there a dress code?
Business casual or business formal.
Where are the Symposium and Workshop taking place?
The Workshop and Symposium will be held on at Purdue University’s Stewart Center in West Lafayette. Please see the Grad WiE Network website and the summarized agenda for location specifics.
How and where should I park on campus?
Please see the Purdue parking website for more information on parking around campus in West Lafayette. Grad WiE Network will not be providing free parking or parking vouchers for this event.
Can I attend if I am not a graduate student at Purdue University?
The community track is for those who are not current graduate students in the College of Engineering but would still like to attend the Symposium. The registration cost for those who are not current College of Engineering graduate students is $100.
