Marcy Alstott is an operations and supply chain executive with more than 40 years of technology leadership experience. She is managing director at On Tap Consulting, a consortium of operations, supply chain, sales and marketing experts. Her clients range from technology startups in the medical device, consumer, agriculture and transportation fields to established businesses in the transportation, medical and business-to-business sectors.

Alstott guides clients from innovation through commercialization, developing and implementing operations strategies, establishing supply chain partnerships, launching business-to-business and business-to-consumer logistics networks, coaching executives and helping companies hire key personnel. Her extensive Silicon Valley experience has allowed her to build a network across the computer, robotics and technology industries as well as venture capital and private equity firms.

Previously, Alstott served as vice president of operations for the LaserJet business at HP, where she led a rapidly growing $13 billion international supply chain. She also served as vice president of operations at Sun Microsystems, with operations responsibility for the company's high-end server line. Earlier, she led operations at Adept Technology, a factory automation company producing precision vision and motion-sensing robotics systems. As general manager of Adept's emerging semiconductor wafer-handling business unit, she oversaw its growth to 5% of the company's revenue within a year.

Alstott earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and participated in a co-op program with General Motors. She later earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in design from Stanford University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Alstott is a frequent speaker at professional events, previously served on Santa Clara University's Engineering Advisory Board and is an active member of the Silicon Valley Boiler Innovation Group, which advises Purdue University's startup ecosystem. Her leadership focuses on cross-functional collaboration, strategic decision-making and bringing innovative products to market.
