ENGINEERING FYI:  For Your Imagination

WHAT: Free, one-day event geared towards girls, interested in making a difference through engineering and science

WHO: Rising 7- 9th grade students (in 6th-8th grade at the time of application in spring)

WHEN: July 11, 2015 

WHERE: Purdue University, West Lafayette Campus

Activities for parents and other visitors who accompany FYI participants:

  •  Discover how your unique talents and interests can lead to an exciting engineering career!
  • Make new friends with current college students and fellow participants!

  • All participants will be connected to trained engineering student mentors throughout the day!

  • Experience engineering through fun, hands-on activities!

  • Apply your imagination and creativity to hands-on projects with small teams of fellow participants.

  • Hone your leadership and teamwork skills as you learn how engineers shape our world.

  • Experience how engineers make a difference and how you can make a difference!

  • Lunch will be provided for participating students in our residence hall dining court

  • Parents may attend an information session and visit workshops.
