About Us

The Sustainable Aviation Initiative is a multidisciplinary research hub that aims to advance the science and technology of low-carbon, environmentally friendly aviation. We collaborate with industry, government, and academic partners to develop innovative solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, noise, and air pollution from aviation. Purdue also educates and trains the next generation of leaders and experts in sustainable aviation. We envision a prosperous future for aviation and society.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support attaining net-zero aviation emissions by 2050, through partnership with industry, government, and global stakeholders to drive research, innovation, education, and policy initiatives.
