Juan Sebastian Ardila Lopez

Juan Sebastian is a PhD student in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering and Systems and Computing Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in 2026. During his undergraduate research, he analyzed the FSI (fluid-structure interaction) of a bioinspired, foldable origami wing. He also participated in a student initiative developing electric-powered cars. Outside of the lab, Juan Sebastian enjoys learning new languages, listening to salsa music, and playing soccer.
