Gunes completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2020 and 2023, respectively. During his Master's, he focused on flutter speed determination of nonlinear wings and nonlinear structure modelling. In 2023, Gunes started his Ph.D., with research interests now centering on high-speed wing aeroelastic analysis and morphing wings. Aside from research, Gunes enjoys playing tennis and soccer.
