Earn Two Degrees from Top Programs
Whom It’s For
The dual online MS or MSE - MBA degree is for working engineers seeking to gain both technical and managerial expertise.
Combining expertise in both the technical and managerial aspects of the engineering field is increasingly central
to helping corporations remain competitive in a high-tech global economy. Two highly ranked programs have joined
forces to offer you quality advanced degrees – the MSE or MS from Purdue University College of Engineering
and the online MBA degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. The dual online MSE-MBA degree is designed in three parts
with courses in:
- A bridge between technical and business
The Purdue-Kelley dual MS or MSE - MBA degree program provides you an opportunity to gain additional technical expertise and learn management skills to complement your existing knowledge and capabilities. You earn two degrees in a total of 60 credit hours, compared to 81 credit hours if you earned each degree separately.
There is no GRE exam requirement for Purdue; however, Kelley requires either the GMAT or the GRE and a one-week residency each year. Students with an undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or one with equivalent standards may apply for the MSE. Those with a closely related undergraduate degree may qualify for the MS degree. You must complete the MS or MSE degree prior to starting the online MBA degree. A streamlined application process through Purdue allows you to submit your qualifications only once.
Two sets of original transcripts from all universities attended (undergraduate and graduate) should be mailed directly to ProEd from the institution. Copies will not be accepted. Transcripts not written in English must be submitted with a certified English translation.
Designated Kelley courses may be applied toward your Purdue degree, with a total of at least 60 credit hours required to obtain both degrees. Once you complete 30 credit hours of courses satisfying Purdue requirements (including the bridge courses), you are eligible to graduate with the MS or MSE degree from Purdue. At that time you may begin work on the online MBA degree from Kelley.
