Student Spotlight | Sam Angus

For USAF 1st Lt Sam Angus, his work at Purdue University went beyond earning a PhD. As a Chemical Engineering student and Purdue Military Research Institute (PMRI) fellow, Angus assited in developing innovative radiation detection technology with potential applications in national security.

Through PMRI, Angus has also found a community that helped connect his academic work to the broader military mission while providing support as he navigated life as a military officer in a civilian academic environment.
