This course provides a project-based approach to mechatronic design. The Arduino Uno is used as a platform for implementation of finite state machines. A seven-week design project prompts students to use what they've learned to build an autonomous vehicle that completes a specified task.

  • 26 Feb: A reminder of the Concept Review Meeting in the lab area this evening at 6 pm. Your project team will be able to ask former ME 588 students about what worked (and what didn't work) in designing and fabricating an autonomous vehicle.
  • 21 Feb: This semester's final project assigment has been posted. Please start reviewing this assignment with your final project teammates.
  • 16 Feb: Project groups have been assigned for the final project. Please introduce yourself to your new teammates during this week's lab session!
