The Final Exam is on Monday, December 9th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, in PHYS 112.
The exam is Open Book (Shigley's Mechanical Engineering Design, Budynas and Nisbett, Eleventh Edition only) and Open Lecture Notes.
The School policy for exams is the TI-30XIIS calculator.
The exam will have four problems which will focus on the course lectures and Chapters 5, 6, 8, 10, and 11 of the Eleventh Edition of the book.
Also, review the material that was covered in Homework Sets 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14.
The topics include: strength of materials, stress analysis, roling contact bearings, threaded fasteners, and compression springs.
