Description: Purdue SAE Aero is a design-build-fly team that competes in domestic and international aeronautical design competitions run by SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers). Our team pulls from a variety of engineering disciplines to develop aircraft from the conceptual and preliminary design phases into real RC planes that fly at competition events. We seek to build the skills and experience of members within engineering design methodology and expose them to the tools and development methods used in aircraft design.
