Purdue Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors

The Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors act as delegates of the Purdue mechanical engineering school in promoting unity between students, faculty, alumni, families and organizations, as well as reaching out to prospective students.

Description: The Mechanical Engineering Ambassadors act as delegates of the School of Mechanical Engineering in promoting unity between students, faculty, alumni, families and organizations, as well as reaching out to prospective students, all in an attempt to bridge Purdue ME to the local and global engineering world. To accomplish this, we provide ME building tours to prospective students, faculty and alumni; volunteer as panelist for prospective student presentations; act as student representatives for university, college and school events; plan and attend outreach events for elementary and middle schools to encourage engineering careers; and serve as peer instructors for the "How Stuff Works" seminar for First-Year Engineering students.

Requirements for joining: Must be accepted into the School of Mechanical Engineering and can serve a minimum of three terms on-campus. Ambassadors are selected based on an application/interview process.
