Banner Bearer and Commencement Responder Nominations

The Office of Undergraduate Education coordinates the Commencement Responder and  Banner Bearer nominations for the College of Engineering. Nominations can be submitted by any faculty or staff member using the links below. Students can self-nominate for Commencement Responder in the "Destination Graduation" tile of My Purdue.

If you would like to nominate a student for Commencement Responder, please fill out the form. Please note that Commencement Responder nominations require a letter (maximum of 2 pages) and a copy of the student's resume.

Fall 2024 Banner Bearer Nomination Deadline: TBD

Once all nominations are received, the Office of Undergraduate Education will vote internally on finalists for each commencement division. Commencement Responders and their nomination letters are shared with the Office of the President to select a responder. Banner Bearer information is shared with the Office of the Registrar immediately after the vote.
