Five Purdue Engineering faculty members whose innovations in engineering education have distinguished them among their peers will attend the National Academy of Engineering's fourth Frontiers of Engineering Education (FOEE) symposium, Oct. 14-17, in Irvine, Calif.
Purdue's contingent at the symposium will be the largest of any institution represented. Attending are:

Karl Smith, cooperative learning professor of engineering education, is serving as a planning committee member for the symposium.
A total of 72 of the nation's most innovative, young engineering educators have been selected to attend the event, which is designed to give faculty who are implementing innovative education approaches in engineering disciplines the opportunity to share ideas, and learn from others' research and best practices in engineering education.
