Supervised by Prof. Zoltan K. Nagy, the core research areas of CryPTSys consist of design and control of batch and continuous crystallization systems and advanced control with process intensification of manufacturing systems engineering for applications in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, biotechnology, food, agrochemical, and energetic industries. Using modeling, optimization and advanced control approaches, this research is conducted experimentally with modern process analytical technology tools (PAT) as well as computationally using complex mathematical models for model-based approaches.
