KIAT and Purdue University Sign Education-Focused MOU

The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) and Purdue University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 10, strengthening collaboration in educational program development and international partnership.

The MOU was signed during a visit to Purdue on March 9–10 by KIAT President  Byung-joo Min and delegates from the institute. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for developing new education-focused initiatives with Purdue while reinforcing ongoing cooperation between the two institutions.

KIAT and Purdue already maintain an institution-wide agreement that promotes international joint research and development projects among participating partners. The new MOU builds on this relationship by placing additional emphasis on educational collaboration, including potential program development and academic engagement.

The partnership is supported through Purdue’s Center of Operation and Research for Industry Advancement (CORIA), led by Professor Martin Byung-Guk Jun, which works with KIAT to connect the United States and South Korea through industrial advancement and technological exchange.

The signing marks another step in strengthening long-term ties between the two institutions while supporting global collaboration in science, technology, and industry.
