research focus
In the OxideMEMS Lab we
explore inter-domain coupling in Opto-mechanical, Spin-Acoustic and
Atom-MEMS devices. We strive to leverage our understanding of
these coupled systems to design and fabricate inertial sensors, clocks,
frequency combs and computing and microwave
sub-systems.
PhD and Postdoctoral positions are available in these areas:
- Quantum MEMS (not just phononics)
- Harsh environment pressure sensing
- Piezo-optomechancal transduction for LIDAR, IR sensing and computation
- 3D micromachining and advanced fabrication of Carbide, Diamond, Niobate, Langasite and PMN-PT
Expertise in many and most of Microfabrication, PiezoMEMS, Photonics, Quantum Mechanics, Microwave circuits, PCB design, ADS/HFSS, Comsol, Python and Labview is required.
