Hong-Hyun Park

Hong-Hyun Park received his BS and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 2003 and 2009, respectively.

Hong-Hyun joined the Klimeck research group in July 2009.

Hong-Hyun’s research is focused on the modeling and simulation of nanoelectric devices, quantum transport, and noise phenomena.

In the Klimeck group he has worked on the following research projects:

• NEMO5 developement

Quantum transport: nonequilibrium Green's function (NEGF) formalism, open-boundary wavefunction (WF) formalism

Electron and phonon transport: atomistic empirical tight-binding method, effective-mass method

Extended recursive Green's function method.

Band-to-band tunneling (BTBT) diode, tunneling field-effect transistor (TFET).

Contact resistance modeling for high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs).

• SIMSN developement

NEGF simulation tool specialized for nanowire transistors.

Modeling of electronic noise and analysis.
