AERO

The Aerodynamics Team works on the bodywork and wings on the car, which produce downforce and clean up airflow for drag reduction. We use computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to simulate flow around our car and help inform design decisions. We also use wind tunnel testing and track data for visualization and validation of our designs. Our members learn about fluid mechanics theory, CFD simulations, and CAD for design, then utilize CNC machining and carbon fiber layup techniques to manufacture our components.
