ABOUT PURDUE FSAE
Purdue University is recognized world-wide for its excellent engineering program. Members of the Purdue Formula SAE team create a well-designed car each year by combining the theory learned in class with hands-on skills. Students utilize engineering skills and state of the art tools to design and verify the new car. Our team is comprised primarily of mechanical engineering students, but we also welcome students from other majors. A Purdue FSAE is first and foremost a team. This team spends an enormous amount of time together throughout the school year which helps the team work together effectively. We work together to find new ways to combine our wide array of engineering talents and experiences to build and design a unique race car.
HOW TO JOIN
All students are welcome to join the team, from all majors and with any experience level. We have technical projects ranging from embedded electronics to aerodynamics, including a variety of non-technical projects for our competition, such as a marketing presentation and cost analysis.
We recommend that any interested student come to a team meeting as soon as possible and introduce themselves to the team leadership. If you have a desire to work in a specific area, be sure to mention that area to us. Click here to know more.
